White daisy always looks beautiful, fresh and light up my house. In the west, daisy flower is a symbol of simplicity, chastity and transformation. Well, as I always love to make paper flower to look like a real one, so I decided to make few paper daisies today. It is also a good idea to decorate the house (I place a vase with few paper daisies in the book shelves or bedside table). Here is the tutorial:
You will need:
- White paper crepe (a rectangle 4cm x15 cm)
- Yellow yarn
- Yellow cotton yarn
- Floral tape (green or dark green)
- Floral wire (18 gauge)
- Glue, scissor
Step 1
Roll some yellow yarn around your 2 fingers (around 15 rounds) to make the pistil and anther. Use the yellow cotton yarn to tie up one third of the yarn, then cut 2 sides.
Step 2
Put the floral wire in between the pistil and anther, then use floral tape to tie around the lower part of it.
Step 3
Fold the white paper crepe in to half, use the clip to avoid movement, then cut the paper to make the daisy petals (size can be 0,7cm wide and 3,2cm long for each petal). Use the scissor to trim the corner and make it look like real daisy petal.
Step 4
Use your hand to widen the daisy petal and curl it just a little bit.
Step 5
Glue the petal to the daisy stem. You can either make 1 round (place each petal just slightly over the others) or 2 round (each petal in round 1 will look like the picture below).
Step 6
Use about 4cm of floral tape, trim 1 edge of it to make the sepal then glue it around all the daisy petals. Glue the floral tape around the sepal to make daisy receptacle.
Now here is the complete paper daisy. You can make 10 to 20 of them and put it in a vase. I made 5 and it still looks good.
I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial. Like and share if you find it helpful. Thanks guys, see you in the next post!
